Chalupa Za Kútom
General Rental Terms
Thank you for deciding to use the option of renting the log cabin Chalupa Za Kútom. We kindly ask you to observe the following rules:
1. Rental of the Log Cabin
- The Client may order the rental through the website www.chalupazakutom.sk. If an order is placed in this way, the Lessor undertakes to notify the Client of the acceptance of the reservation within 24 hours at the latest.
- The Lessor provides the Client only with those services that were ordered and paid for at the time of booking.
- The Client orders the additional services listed in the price list (for example a baby cot, breakfast or a romantic surprise) at the time of booking. Their price according to the valid price list forms part of the total price of the reservation and is paid together with it.
- The Client undertakes that, during the stay, only as many persons will be present on the premises of the log cabin and on the private land as were duly reported to the Lessor at the outset. It is not permitted to accommodate any additional persons or to let them stay overnight.
- Once confirmed by the Lessor, the reservation is binding for the Client, and the Client is obliged to pay the total price of the reservation to the Lessor's account without delay, within 3 days.
- After making the payment, the Client shall send the Lessor a confirmation of payment.
- If the reservation is not paid by the Client by the agreed date, the Lessor is entitled to release the reserved date to other clients.
- By taking over the keys, the Client confirms the acceptance of the accommodation and the agreement with the accommodation conditions.
- Before moving in, the Client shall check whether any items of the inventory are damaged. If the Client discovers damage, the Client shall report this fact immediately by e-mail to chalupazakutom@gmail.com. Later findings cannot be accepted. The Client thereupon assumes responsibility for the rented log cabin, including its inventory.
- Insurance of the Client is not included in the rental price.
- Persons under 18 years of age are not permitted to stay in the log cabin on their own.
2. Start of the Stay
- Check-in: after 14:00.
- Check-out: by 10:00.
3. The Stay
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the log cabin and in its immediate surroundings.
- Bringing dogs and other animals into the log cabin is prohibited.
- Jacuzzi / hot tub (use and hygiene): The hot tub serves exclusively for bathing. It is strictly prohibited to eat, drink (including alcohol) or smoke in it, or to use soaps, shampoos, oils, bath foams or other additives and cosmetics that degrade the water and the filtration. Before entering the hot tub, the Client is obliged to take a shower. The Client is responsible for the cleanliness of the water during the stay; if the water is contaminated (for example by drinks, food, cosmetics and the like), the Lessor is entitled to charge a fee for the water change and for reheating according to the price list (standard charge 50 €). For safety reasons it is prohibited to use the hot tub under the influence of alcohol, and children are permitted to enter only under the constant supervision of an adult.
- A baby cot ordered as an additional service is prepared on request and does not increase the maximum capacity of the log cabin. The Client states the child for whom the cot is intended among the persons reported at the time of booking.
- If a candle or another open flame forms part of an ordered additional service, the Client is obliged to handle it in such a way that neither fire nor damage to the wooden building and its furnishings occurs: the Client shall not leave a burning candle unattended, shall not place it close to textiles or other flammable objects, and shall extinguish it before going to sleep and before leaving the log cabin.
- The open-fire cooking set is an additional service ordered in advance and is intended solely for cooking over an open fire outside the log cabin. The Client is obliged not to leave the fire unattended, to extinguish it before leaving the log cabin, and to return the borrowed equipment in the condition in which it was taken over, with regard to normal wear and tear.
- The Client states the number of breakfast portions and the number of mornings for which the Lessor is to prepare them at the time of booking. The number of mornings may not be higher than the number of nights of the ordered stay.
- The Client agrees that, throughout the entire rental period, a maintenance worker or the Lessor has the right to enter the log cabin, on the basis of an agreement with the Client, in order to carry out work duties.
- The Client may choose the manner of access to the log cabin: to use the transfer arranged by the Lessor, or to use the Client's own motor vehicle with 4×4 drive (SUV or off-road vehicle). If the Client's own vehicle is used, access is possible exclusively at the Client's own risk. The Lessor is not liable for damage to the vehicle, nor for complications caused by the condition of the access road or by weather conditions. If the transfer by the Lessor is used, parking of the passenger vehicle is provided in front of the Lessor's family house (500 m from the log cabin).
- The Lessor is not liable for belongings (valuables, money and the like) brought by the Client into the premises of the log cabin, nor for damage caused to the items stored there.
- The Client is obliged to behave in such a way that no damage is caused to health, property, nature or the environment. Before leaving the log cabin, the Client shall duly check that the water taps are closed, the lights are switched off, the electrical appliances are turned off and the windows and doors are shut.
- Without the consent of the Lessor it is not permitted to move the interior furnishings, to carry out any changes or modifications to the equipment of the log cabin, or to interfere with the electrical network or any other installation.
- The use of portable electrical and gas appliances brought by the Client is not permitted in the log cabin. This restriction does not apply to the appliances installed directly in the log cabin, nor to common portable devices (electric shaver, hair dryer, chargers and the like).
- For safety reasons we do not recommend leaving children under 12 years of age without the supervision of an adult.
- Access to the log cabin by the Client's own motor vehicle is exclusively at the Client's own risk and is suitable only for 4×4 vehicles with higher ground clearance.
- If needed, the Lessor will arrange the transfer of the Client and of the Client's luggage up to the log cabin.
- The Client acknowledges that there is neither a shop nor a restaurant at the location of the log cabin, and that food and drinks therefore have to be arranged in advance.
4. Cancellation Terms
- The reservation may be cancelled or changed no later than 7 days before the date of accommodation.
- In the case of cancellation 7 days or less before arrival, or in the case of a no-show, 100% of the total amount is charged.
- The cancellation must be announced in writing by e-mail or by telephone.
5. End of the Stay
- The Client is obliged to hand over the log cabin in the condition in which it was taken over, with regard to ordinary wear and tear. The Client is liable for the damage caused by the Client or by the persons who use the log cabin together with the Client.
- In the event of serious damage to the log cabin or to its equipment, the Lessor has the right to demand reimbursement of the funds actually spent on the repair or on the restoration of the original condition. The seriousness shall be assessed by the Lessor or by the log cabin manager, and a written record shall be drawn up. On the basis of that record, the Lessor may claim compensation for the damage under the relevant legal regulations.
- In such a case the Client will be issued an invoice for the costs actually incurred for the repair or for the restoration of the damaged equipment of the log cabin to its original condition, which the Client is obliged to pay within 10 days of the delivery of the invoice.
- If the Client does not pay the invoice, the Lessor shall assign the claim to a third party authorised to represent the Lessor.
- In the event of the loss of the keys, the Client will be charged a fee of 5 €.
- The Lessor of the log cabin Chalupa Za Kútom reserves the right to terminate the rental immediately if the Client breaches these general terms and conditions, causes significant damage to the log cabin or to its equipment, or if the conduct of the Client during the rental is improper.
- The Lessor reserves the right to cancel the rental as a result of events that could not have been prevented even with the utmost effort, or as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances. The Lessor is obliged to inform the Client of this fact without delay after learning of it. In such a case the Lessor shall enable the Client to carry out the rental on another date suitable for the Client, or shall refund 100% of the rental amount.
By paying for the rental of the log cabin, the Client confirms that the Client knows these general terms and conditions, understands them, agrees with them and accepts them in full. In the event of any discrepancy in the interpretation of the language versions of these terms and conditions, the Slovak version shall prevail.
